Donetsk, Oct 11 – DAN. Ukrainian forces fired 172 artillery and mortar rounds at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Wednesday.
“On Donetsk axis, the enemy used tank guns (20 rounds fired), fired 71 120mm mortar rounds and 54 82mm mortar rounds on Donetsk axis,” he said.
”On Mariupol axis, the enemy fired 27 82mm mortar rounds, also using grenade launchers and small arms.”
A household in Dokuchaevsk, two households in Kominternovo (Novoazovskiy district) have been damaged.
Overall, the Ukrainian side violated the ceasefire 51 times over the last 24 hours.
The ‘school ceasefire’ has been agreed to by the sides as the new academic year is to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It hasn’t proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized. *ot
