Donetsk, May 10 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 1,058 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Massive fire was delivered at Gorlovka including its neighbourhoods Zaitsevo, Dolomitnoye and Ozeryanovka and the Izotov Colliery area.

Dokuchayevsk and the outlying Petrovskoye village, the Yasinovataya area and the southern villages of Novolaspa, Kominternovo, Sakhanka, Leninskoye, Oktyabr and Sosnovskoye also came under fire.

Overall, 36 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.

The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long nine and a half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *jk
