Donetsk, Jan 29 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 20 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 100 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 20 times expending 101 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Kiev forces targeted Gorlovka and its villages of Zaitsevo and Gagarin Colliery, Yasinovataya and the Krasniy Partizan settlement outside the town. The Donetsk airport area, the Zhabichevo, Trudovskaya Colliery and Spartak villages in city outskirts and suburbs and the Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR also came under fire.
The enemy employed 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons grenade launchers and high calibre small arms.
The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 13 times firing 50 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
