Ukrainian army fires 1.5 tons of ammunition rounds at DPR over week - JCCC

Donetsk, Aug 27 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 30 times over the past week firing nearly 300 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Monday.

“Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 30 times from August 20 till August 26 firing 287 rounds of ammunition massing 1.34 tons (26.5 boxes in all),” Yakubov said.

Thirty-one facts of shelling-related damage were recorded, Yakubov said, adding that the enemy had used heavy mortars expending 73 rounds.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire once as they opened mortar fire at the Golmovskiy settlement in northern Gorlovka.*jk
