Donetsk, Apr 8 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations on Thursday morning fired heavy mortars at the Vesyoloye village area north of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

The strike was delivered from the Opytnoye settlement  at 7:30.  The enemy expended 12 120mm mortar rounds.

On top of that, Ukrainian servicemen in the Kiev-controlled Vodyanoe village area fired 14 82mm mortar rounds at the Leninskoye village at 05:35, the JCCC said.

No casualties or damage were immediately reported.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
