Donetsk, March 26 - DAN. The Ukrainian army has used 152mm artillery pieces to shell the Donetsk People’s Republic for the first time since November 2018; the strike was delivered at the Yelenovka settlement outside Donetsk, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination said on Tuesday.

“At 06:20, the JCCC recorded strikes by Ukrainian armed formations at Yelenovka,” it said. “Twenty 152mm rounds were fired.”

The enemy also used 120mm mortars to shell the settlement, the JCCC added. Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled settlements of Berezovoye, Novotroitskoye and Novomikhailovka.

No casualties or damage reports were immediately available.

The previous Ukrainian 152mm artillery strikes were reported on November 12, 2018.*jk*pp
