Donetsk, Jul 29 - DAN. Kiev army units fired at five settlement areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire eight times expending 68 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
The enemy employed 82mm and 120mm mortars and AGS grenade launchers. Fire was delivered at the Vesyoloye village area on the Donetsk axis, Shakhta Gagarina and Zaitsevo (Yuzhnoye) settlements on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Leninskoye and Novaya Maryevka villages on the Mariupol axis.
Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC ignored the requests for ceasefire by employing the coordination mechanism . In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice, the DPR Office said.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
