Donetsk, Jun 23 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have fired some 230 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic since daybreak.

Military situation

Kiev gunmen resumed strikes at the DPR at 04:40; the Panteleimonovka settlement south of Gorlovka was the first to come under fire. The enemy fired eight 152mm projectiles at the settlement. Next, strikes were delivered at Donetsk’s Kievsky, Kirovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts, Yelenovka, Signalnoye and Gorlovka and its suburbs. The enemy used “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, artillery and infantry fighting vehicle cannons.

A civilian was killed in the Gornyak settlement in the Kuibyshevsky district, and two clerics were wounded when the Holy Annunciation Church came under fire. A kindergarten was damaged in the same area. The strike at the Kievsky district wounded a 35-year-old man and damaged a preparatory school, a supermarket, four apartment houses, garages and a gas pipe. Two single family houses, a farm and two cars were damaged in the Kirovsky district.

A 77-year-old woman was killed as Ukrainian gunmen fired at the Ozeryanovka settlement outside Gorlovka. A church and three houses were damaged in the town of Gorlovka and a part of the customers in the Golmovsky settlement were left without electricity.

In Yelenovka, an outpatient hospital, three apartment houses and three single-family houses were damaged. Power outages were reported in the morning in Yelenovka, the villages of Signalnoye, Lyubovka and Luganskoye and partly in the Kievsky district.

Reports on Thursday morning said that Russian armed forces had killed more than half of 30th Mechanized Brigade personnel in the village of Klinovoye north of Svetlodarsk. Ukraine evacuated over 170 seriously wounded officers and soldiers of the brigade. In the past 24 hours, Russian forces destroyed two dozen artillery platoons in Donbass which had been delivering fire at Gorlovka and Donetsk.

Mariupol launched works to prepare service lines for the winter. The authorities will repair boiler houses which will meet up to 80 percent of city needs, and water supply points.

Mariupol’s Ilyich district plans to launch a stray animal shelter at the former dog training center located at 9 Kalinovsky Street.

The Mariupol merchant port awaits another cargo vessel next week. The port is counting its inventory and repairing cranes, loaders and railway tracks.

The Republican Fuel company has decreased the prices of two brands of petrol and LNG at its petrol stations across the Donetsk People’s Republic.
