Donetsk, Oct 1 – DAN. Ukraine forces shelled DPR territory with heavy weapons before the disengagement scheduled for today, said a DPR security source.

"Ukrainian side at around midnight shelled Yasinovataya industrial area with 14 122mm artillery rounds. The enemy also used IFV cannons, 82mm and 120mm mortars, RPGs and small arms,” the source said.

The first disengagement of forces and hardware in Donbass conflict is to start today in Perovskoye village area south of Donetsk.

DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko ordered republican forces to maintain comprehensive unconditional ceasefire as of midnight September, 14/15. He reiterated that DPR kept truce before as well in accordance with agreement brokered by the Contact Group in late August.

The ceasefire in Donbass effective since 31 August, 2016 was agreed at the Contact Group meeting and approved by the “Normandy Four” (Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France) group of guarantors of the Minsk agreements.
