Donetsk, Nov 23 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened grenade launcher and small arms fire on the Gorlovka axis, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
Ukrainian troops at their positions in Zaitsevo (the northern part of the settlement is controlled by the Ukrainian army - eds Donetsk News Agency) opened fire at the Golmovsky settlement in northern Gorlovka at 13:05 expending eight recoilless gun rounds.
An hour later, Ukrainian servicemen fired two recoilless gun rounds and three automatic grenade launcher rounds at the outskirts of the Shakhta 6/7 settlement. They also used small arms to deliver fire.
“The Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC have ignored the request to use the coordination mechanism for establishing a ceasefire,” the DPR Office said.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations fired 40 rounds of ammunition at southern DPR.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
