Donetsk, Sep 27 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired on an ambulance in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic killing two militiamen and wounding one, DPR Operations Command spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said.
Earlier reports said that a DPR militiaman had been wounded as Ukrainian army units shelled the Kominternovo village in southern DPR on Thursday morning.
“An ambulance was sent to the area to provide assistance and evacuate the wounded man,” Bezsonov said. “Despite the distinct ambulance markings and its non-military appearance, Ukrainian gunmen opened aimed fire at the vehicle. Two militiamen were killed and another one was wounded in this premeditated murder.”
Bezsonov conveyed his condolences to the relatives of the dead servicemen.
“I’m telling Ukrainian army servicemen: the bloody Kiev regime will not last forever, and each war criminal will get the punishment they deserve. Just think: we used to go to the same schools yesterday, and now the junta forces us to wage a fratricidal war,” Bezsonov said.
It is not the first Ukrainian army attack on a DPR ambulance. On August 7, Ukrainian forces fired a missile at a DPR ambulance in the Naberezhnoye village in southern DPR, which was on a mission to rescue a sick woman. The strike killed the driver and two female paramedics.*jk
