Donetsk, Jul 29 - DAN. Three Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen were killed and one was wounded in a strike delivered by Ukrainian armed formations, the DPR People’s Militia reported on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian army units delivered massive fire at southern areas of the DPR. Ukrainian army’s 93rd Brigade gunmen fired 24 120mm mortar rounds at the Novaya Maryevka village.
“We regret to inform that three defenders of our Republic were killed and one was rushed to a Donetsk hospital with multiple shrapnel wounds. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the dead servicemen,” the report said.
The DPR militia said that three Ukrainian gunmen were wounded as DPR militia units returned fire.
“We call on international monitors to record the new fact of ceasefire violation by Ukrainian occupants, which resulted in casualties among our servicemen, and get Ukraine to strictly comply with the existing accords and stop conflict escalation,” the DPR militia said.*jk
