Donetsk, Mar 8 – DAN. A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day.
"The ceasefire came into force at 1.01 a.m. We are in control of the situation and completely monitor it. Currently, the Ukrainian side has ceased fire, silence regime is observed along the contact line. DPR People's Militia units diligently observe the agreement," the DPR Defense said.
The DPR Mission to the JCCC and People's Militia units have reinforced monitoring efforts.
The Spring ceasefire was coordinated by the security working group of the Contact Group during a videoconference on Thursday. Later, DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova confirmed the recommitment. *ot
