Donetsk, Mar 8 — DAN. Ten Ukrainian commando teams have been eliminated in the special military operation zone over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.
“The operations of ten sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Ukrainian army were stopped in the areas of Tabayevka, Gryanikovka and Olshana in the Kharkov region and Artyomovka, Novoselovskoye and Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, ” Konashenkov said.
Russian forces also destroyed the HQ of Ukraine’s 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade in the village of Memrik west of Donetsk, six howitzers on several axes of the frontline, a low-flying target detection radar and more than 30 armored vehicles and military cars, he added.
Earlier reports on Wednesday said that “Wagner” private military company fighters had taken control of the territory east of the river Bakhmutka in Artyomovsk.*jk
