Donetsk, Dec 12 – DAN. A group of Russian journalists came under Ukrainian armed forces fire in Sakhanka township, Novoazovskiy district, a Russian NTV TV-channel correspondent Ilya Ushenin told DAN.

"We were near a school at the moment we came under a heavy machine gun fire. Assault rifles fire was also heard," he said.

The journalist added that the fire occurred just after OSCE SMM members had left the area.

Journalists of 'Russia', NTV, Pervyi Kanal (Channel One), 5 Kanal (Channel 5) Russain TV channels were present at the site as well as reporters of Republican TV channels Oplot and Union.

DPR Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin was also present.

This is not the first time journalists come under fire in this area. Last time reporters were targeted on May, 17 – at that time NTV correspondents working in Yasinovataya were shelled. ‘Russia’ TV channel correspondents were fired at the previous day. *ot
