Donetsk, Oct 25 — DAN. Russian air defense units have intercepted two ATACMS missiles which the United States recently passed to Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry reported in a special military operation update.
Air defense systems shot down two MiG-29s, one Su-25 and one L-39 trainer ject of the Ukrainian Air Force in the areas of Krasnoarmeisk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Kazachyi Lageri in the Kherson region and Sinelnikovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the Ministry said.
Over the past 24 hours, one S-200 air defense missile reequipped for attacking ground targets, two high speed anti-radiation missiles and two HIMARS projectiles of U.S. origin were intercepted. More than 50 enemy drones were eliminated in the special military operation zone including Donbass battlefields.
President Vladimir Putin earlier said that the delivery of ATACMS missiles to Kiev would not change the situation on the frontline as Russia would be able to repel such attacks.*jk
