Donetsk, Jun 3 — DAN. The Russia-led coalition has thwarted a Ukrainian counteroffensive near Novgorodskoye, west of Gorlovka, DPR Defence’s deputy chief of staff Eduard Basurin said.
«The joint action of DPR and Russian forces repelled the enemy’s attempt to break through our defence in the vicinity of Novgorodskoye,» he said.
Up to 20 Ukrainian militants were killed in clashes, two APCs, a truck and a fire position were destroyed.
The enemy suffered heavy losses and retreated.
Earlier this week, the coalition thwarted a counteroffensive near Sladkoye north-west of Dokuchayevsk. *ot
