Donetsk, Sep 13 — DAN. The military situation in Svyatogorsk in the north of the Donetsk People’s Republic is complicated; neither side fully controls the town, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said in his video address on Monday evening.
“I’ll tell you honestly that at this moment neither we nor the enemy controls this settlement, ” Pushilin said. “Polish mercenaries have been sighted on this axis. Our units are making certain moves, so we hope that they’ll succeed. ”
Ukrainian gunmen also make attempts to take Krasny Liman, but the coalition forces repel all enemy attacks, he added.
On Monday afternoon, Svyatogorsk mayor Vladimir Bandura said that the town remained under control of the coalition forces.
The DPR and Russian forces seized Svyatogorsk on June 9. In July, the local administration was set up. Vladimir Bandura who had run the town since 2020 was appointed its head. Svyatogorsk is temporarily included in the responsibility zone of Yenakiyevo authorities. *jk
