Donetsk, Jan 18 – DAN. The Ukrainian army has violated the Christmas ceasefire more than 100 times targeting the DPR with various weapons, including heavy ones, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin.
"In the 20 days of the Christmas ceasefire Ukrainian side opened fire on the Republic over 100 times, using heavy weapons on 17 occasions. Three civilians were injured as the result of these provocative shelling incidents."
Pushilin said that violations of ceasefire and Kiev's fake news used as information attacks "raise concerns".
"Taking the nature of Ukrainian activities into account, I consider the scheduled military drills of exclusively defensive nature a basis for strengthening the Republic's defense and morale."
Kiev forces fired 150 rounds on the DPR in the past 24 hours using mortars, IFVs, APCs, anti-aircraft guns and small arms. On Friday morning, Ukrainian armed formations fired mortar shells on Leninskoye in the DPR south.
The Contact Group endorsed the Christmas ceasefire in Donbass in effect from December 29, 2018 1:01 a.m. GMT+3.*ot
