Donetsk, Dec 7 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have aimed to destroy civil infrastructure and vital facilities since the beginning of the Donbass conflict, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) said on Wednesday.
“It is Ukrainian armed formations, long before the beginning of the special liberation operation, namely since April 2014, have been destroying the infrastructure of the unsubmissive Donbass purposefully and methodically with the sole aim to terrorize, intimidate and make the living conditions unbearable for Donbass civilians, ” the JCCC said.
As many as 3,166 facilities have been damaged during the conflict, it added. Most of them (1,342) are social, production or trade facilities. Ukrainian forces also damaged 890 power, water, heat and gas supply facilities, 699 education and 151 medical institutions and 84 vital infrastructure facilities.
In the LPR, 650 such facilities were damaged over the same period.*jk
