Donetsk, Oct 6 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have fired some 250 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic settlements on Wednesday (about 150 rounds on Tuesday).

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the law “On the Accession of the Donetsk People’s Republic to Russia and Establishment of a New Federal Subject — Donetsk People’s Republic.” The DPR therefore has officially become a part of Russia. Denis Pushilin has been appointed interim head of the new Russian region.

Vladimir Putin has ordered to carry out children’s check-ups in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Customs procedures have been stopped on the DPR-Russian border on Wednesday.

Russia’s Federal Tax Services has opened its office in the DPR.

Artillery attacks

Ukrainian gunmen have shelled the Kalininsky, Kievsky, Kuibyshevsky, Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts of the DPR capital and its Staromikhailovka neighborhood, Makeyevka’s Chervonogvardeisky and Kirovsky districts, Yasinovataya, Mineralnoye and Kashtanovoye (Donetsk axis), Tsentralnogorodskoy, Kalininsky and Nikitovsky districts of Gorlovka, Novselovka, Shirokaya Balka and Zaitsevo (Gorlovka axis). The enemy employed aircraft, “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, 155mm, 152mm and 122mm artillery and mortars.

A 17-year-old boy, a 58-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were killed and a hospital, a culture center and two houses were damaged as Donetsk’s Kirovsky district came under Ukrainian artillery fire. In Donetsk’s Kievsky district, three men aged 63, 35 and 21, and a 40-year-old woman were wounded, and a school and three houses were damaged. A home was damaged in the Petrovsky district of the DPR capital.

In Gorlovka, enemy strikes damaged a dormitory, an office building, a penitentiary fence, nine homes, a shop and a power line. A power engineer was hurt in the blast of an explosive hazard in Mariupol.

Reports on Wednesday said that Russian troops had detected and eliminated enemy subversive groups in the Yampolovka and Torskoye settlement areas. A massive strike was delivered at Ukraine’s 93rd Mechanized Brigade manpower and equipment outside the settlement of Redkodub.

DPR residents have laid flows on Wednesday in memory of teaching staff killed in artillery attacks.
