Donetsk, May 13 – DAN. Ukraine was not ready for the peace talks today and failed to discuss the issues on the security subgroup agenda, said DPR envoy to the Minsk talks, head of the DPR Head Administration Alexey Nikonorov.

"Despite the new composition of the delegation, and newly presented chairman – deputy defense minister Alexander Polischyuk, it has not generated anything new. Kiev's traditional demagoguery and politicising of practical issues impeded actual discussion of all the key issues."

In particular, Kiev refused to deliberate over the additions to the Framework agreement citing the absence of clear instructions on the document sent by the SMM.

"New disengagement areas have not been defined, though the sides exchanges opinions and positions long ago. There are a number of areas that raise no objections," Nikonorov said.

He said that instead of making progress Kiev rescinded previous agreements.

The Contact Group is expected to meet tomorrow, May 13 to summarize the meeting of its working groups that met today. The talks are held via video conferences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. *ot
