Donetsk, Nov 7 – DAN. Ukrainian forces have shelled DPR frontline areas 754 times over the past 24 hours, killing one militiaman and wounding another, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains challenging,” Basurin said. “Ukrainian gunmen have broken the ceasefire 754 times, firing 85 artillery rounds of 152mm and 122mm calibre, and 302 120mm and 82 mm mortar rounds at DPR territory.”
Ukrainian army units also used grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms, he added.
One DPR militiaman was killed in mortar shelling, another sustained injuries.
