Donetsk, May 25 — DAN. Ukrainian forces fired nearly 200 shells on the DPR on Wednesday, killing and injuring civilians and causing damage. Here are the key events so far on Wednesday, May 25.
First shells fired from Ukrainian positions exploded in the DPR at 7 a.m. Seven townships and cities suffered shelling, as the enemy used Grad MLRS, artillery and mortars.
In Donetsk, a civilian has been killed, at least seven people have been injured. A number of public buildings have sustained hits, among them a research institute, boarding school, kindergarten, as well as private housing.
A woman has been injured in Yasinovataya, more than 2,000 customers on the town remain without power.
On Wednesday mornings, reports emerged saying that Svetlodarsk and Luganskoye have been taken under Republic’s control, hence the number of liberated DPR localities has reached 219.
Debaltsevo authorities are working to restore transport connection with Svetlodarsk.
State Road Inspection is to open a office for registration of vehicles and taking driving tests in Mariupol.
The Port of Mariupol has been demined and resumed operation.
