Donetsk, Feb 3 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk People’s Republic almost 15 thousand times over the past week, including with MLRS Grad and Uragan, a DPR defense official said.
“The number of strikes amounted to14,556. MLRS Uragan and Grad were used, as well as artillery, tanks and mortars to shell the Republic,” DPR Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
Basurin said that 33 towns and villages were hit this week, Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchayevsk and southern DPR territories came under the most intense fire.
DPR intelligence reported new Kiev's military objects spotted along the contact line: two batteries of self-propelled howitzers Gvozdika, up to tank battalion on Gorlovka axis; two battalions of MLRS Grad, 120mm mortar battery, MLRS Uragan platoon on Donetsk axis; 122mm self-propelled howitzers battery, 82mm mortar battery, two tank companies on Mariupol axis.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces fired 1,268 MLRS, artillery, tank gun rounds since the previous evening, targeting Donetsk, Yasnovataya, Dokuchaevsk outskirts, Gorlovka and southern DPR areas. Two civilians were killed, over a dozen injured. *ot
