Donetsk, Apr 6 – DAN. Ukrainian army units have violated the Easter ceasefire over a hundred times since the truce agreement came into force, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"Since the beginning of the Easter ceasefire the Ukrainian side has violated it over a hundred times."
Yakubov added that Kiev forces tend to intensify fire on the eve of Orthodox holidays. This morning a DPR soldier was killed outside Yasinovataya by a Ukrainian sniper; during the night Ukrainian troops shelled DPR southern villages leaving parts of residential areas without power and damaging three households.
The Easter ceasefire initiated by the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was supported by the Contact Group members and came into force at midnight March 30. The Ukrainian side violated it at 9.35 a.m. by targeting Kominternovo with mortar rounds. *ot
