Donetsk, Aug 17 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired at Donetsk People’s Republic areas five times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire five times expending 46 rounds of ammunition (the amount of expended ammunition of caliber up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics),” the report said.
Fire was delivered at the Spartak village and Donetsk airport areas on the Donetsk axis, the Golmovsky settlement on the Gorlovka axis and the Leninskoye village at the Mariupol axis. The enemy employed 82mm and 120mm mortars, SPG, RPG and AGS grenade launchers and small arms.
“The Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC ignored the attempts to use the coordination mechanism in order to quickly establish a local ceasefire after each fact of truce violation,” the DPR Office said.
One ceasefire violation by Ukrainian forces was recorded in the previous reporting period.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
