Donetsk, Aug 26 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 45 times this week, firing two tons of shells, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

"Over the week, from August 19 to August 23, 45 ceasefire violations were recorded. The total number of mortar and artillery shells fired on the DPR is 393, or two tons, or 40 ammunition boxes.

Of those 103 rounds were of  82 mm and 120 mm caliber."

Over the period, nine civilian houses and one infrastructural facility were damaged.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot
