Donetsk, Dec 7 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled frontline areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic 2,453 times over the past 24 hours, injuring one militiaman, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, the number of ceasefire violations increased to 2,453 times. Ukrainian gunmen fired 114 152mm and 122mm artillery rounds, 617 120mm and 82 mm mortar rounds and eight tank gun rounds,” Basurin said.

“They also fired 1,240 grenade launchers rounds, and used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms.”

Ukrainian forces targeted Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka, Staromikhailovka west of Donets, Vasyelevka, Spartak, Verkhnetroitskoye; Zhabichevo in vicinity of Yasinovataya, Yasnoye in vicinity of Dokuchaevsk; Sakhanka, Leninskoye, Kominternovo, Oktyabr of Novoazovskiy district in south DPR.

Four residential houses sustained damage. DPR militiaman was injured in vicinity of Vodyanoye.

A gas pipe was hit in Dokuchaevsk, Elenovka village south-west of Donetsk was left without power, as well as Donetsk water treatment plant.
