Donetsk, Dec 5 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled frontline areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic 1,342 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Monday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian gunmen violated the ceasefire 1,342 times, firing 48 152mm and 122mm artillery rounds, 313 120mm and 82 mm mortar rounds and eight tank gun rounds,” Basurin said. “They also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.”
Ukrainian forces targeted Yasinovataya and neighboring Veseloye, Kominternovo, Leninskoye, Sakhanka, Oktyabr, Dzerzhinskoye in DPR south, Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka, Staromikhailovka, Elenovka and Dokuchaevsk in vicinity of Donetsk.
Over the night Ukrainian forces fired more than 200 artillery and mortar rounds hitting DPR territory.*ot
