Donetsk, Aug 23 – DAN. The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire eight times in the past 24 hours, firing 141 rounds, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"Over the past 24 hours the enemy violated the ceasefire eight times firing 141 shells,” Yakubov said.
Yasinovataya, Dolomitnoye, Zaitsevo, Shakhta Gagarina, Kominternovo and Oktyabr were targeted with 120 mm mortars, IFVs and APCs, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, small arms including of large caliber.
The rounds under 12.7 mm caliber are excluded from daily reports.
A Palace of Culture and three other houses in Kominternovo have been damdaged, two houses burnt down in Shakhta Gagarina.
In the previous reporting period Kiev forces fired 11 rounds.
An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.
The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot
