Donetsk, Feb 1 - DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 100 times over the past week, Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
“The contact line situation remains tense,” Basurin said. "Ukrainian forces keep the intensity of shelling at the same level. One hundred strikes at the areas of 17 settlements were recorded last week.”
The enemy employed 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers, large calibre machine guns and small arms.
Meanwhile Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 17 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 50 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.
The Christmas ceasefire brokered by the Contact Group has been formally in effect in Donbass since December 29, 2018.*jk
