Donetsk, Oct 25 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled DPR frontline areas with almost 90 rounds over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Wednesday.
“On Donetsk axis, Kiev forces fired 79 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds; on Mariupol axis, the enemy fired seven 82mm mortar rounds at Leninskoye,” Basurin said.
Kiev forces also used grenade launchers and small arms to target Zaitsevo outside Gorlovka.
Overall, 23 violations of the ‘school ceasefire’ have been recorded, a number of households have sustained damage.
\The ‘school ceasefire’ has been agreed to by the sides as the new academic year is to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It hasn’t proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized. *ot
