Donetsk, Apr 20 – DAN. Kiev forces shelled DPR territory with almost 1,000 rounds, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Friday.
"The number of violations recorded in the past 24 hours is 18; the overall number of rounds expended is 977," he said
The most intense fire has been recorded on the Donetsk axis, where over a hundred 120mm and 82mm rounds have been fired in 24 hours.
The enemy also used infantry fighting vehicles guns and armed personnel carriers cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.
Attacks have also been reported on the Gorlovka and Mariupol axes.
The JCCC reported 20 ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian side over the previous day, 396 rounds were fired.
The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long: nine and half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *ot
