Donetsk, Feb 24 – DAN. Kiev forces shelled DPR territory 9,360 times over the past week, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
“The enemy targeted the republic’s territory 9,360 times over the past week using artillery, tank guns and mortars 3,354 times,” Basurin said.
Overall 34 DPR settlements and the airport came under fire, including neighbourhoods of Donetsk, Gorlovka and Dokuchayevsk as well as Kominternovo and Novolasly villages in DPR south where 11 houses were damaged.
“Two DPR militiamen were killed and five were wounded by Ukrainian forces fire over the past week,” he said.
The enemy violated the ceasefire 1,550 times over the past 24 hours, with half of all strikes delivered by weapons banned by the Minsk Agreements.
Earlier, DPR Operations Command brought forward a contact line stabilisation plan which was approved by the OSCE mission. The key points are immediate and comprehensive ceasefire along the contact line, pullback of all weapons banned under the Minsk documents, unrestricted access for the OSCE SMM to storage sites, a demilitarized zone within 1km radius of Donetsk water treatment plant and a ban on any offensive or approach moves. Ukraine refused to discuss the proposed plan and later disrupted disengagement of hardware.*jk
