Donetsk, Mar 10 – DAN. Kiev forces shelled DPR territory more than 13 thousand times over the past week, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
“The enemy violated the ceasefire 567 times, firing 13,192 rounds targeting the Republic’s territory; using artillery, tank guns and mortars 4,556 times,” Basurin said.
Please note, that according to the newly introduced violations counting method of DPR Command, a sequence of ceasefire violations committed within a certain period of time in a particular sector is registered as a single case of shelling (violation). Earlier the Operations Command reported the overall number of rounds fired.
Almost all DPR frontline settlements came under fire, including Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk, Telmanovo and its neighborhoods, and DPR southern areas.
Overall 50 houses were damaged or destroyed, important infrastructure was targeted, such as Donetsk water treatment plant, power and gas lines.
"In the past 24 hours Ukrainian armed forces violated the ceasefire 71 times, using heavy artillery in 70 cases, tanks – 46 times, mortars – 133 times, IFV – 78 times, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms – 523 times," Basurin said.
DPR intelligence revealed a number of enemy's hardware on Gorlovka axis: MLRS Grad battalion, up to a tank company and IVF company. A battery of self-propelled 122mm Gvozdika howitzers and a battery of 120mm mortars were spotted on Donetsk axis. A tank platoon and a 120mm mortar battery were located on Mariupol axis. *ot
