Donetsk, Mar 31 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces violated the ceasefire 19 times during the first day of the Easter truce, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"As of March 31, midnight, the overall number of violations amounted to 19. The enemy expended 194 rounds."
The Ukrainian armed forces targeted Spartak north of Donetsk, Staromikhailovka west of the capital, Gorlovka outskirts and southern villages.
The enemy used mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers guns.
The Easter ceasefire initiated by the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was supported by the Contact Group members and came into force at midnight March 30. The Ukrainian side violated it at 9.35 a.m. by targeting Kominternovo with mortar rounds. *ot
