Donetsk, Aug 2 – DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire on Vesyoloye on Monday evening, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

The mortar barrage started at 5.50 p.m. from Ukraine-controlled Opytnoye.

Seven rounds of 82 mm caliber have been fired.

All the attempts to reinstall the ceasefire through the coordination mechanism failed as Ukrainian ignored the requests.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. *ot
