Donetsk, Aug 16 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 64 times this week, firing 360 shells, said DPR People's Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“Over the week, 64 ceasefire violations were recorded; Kiev forces intensified shelling of residential areas, infrastructure. The total number of mortar and artillery shells fired on the DPR is 360; of those six were tank gun rounds, 24 artillery rounds of 125 and 122 mm caliber, 91 mortar rounds of 120 mm and 82 mm, 236 grenade of various types.

One civilian and one service member were killed.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot*pp
