Donetsk, May 20 - DAN. The outskirts of the Spartak village north of Donetsk came under fire from Ukrainian armed formations on Thursday morning, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported.

The strikes were delivered at 05:03 and 05:17. In the first attack, the enemy expended three SPG recoilless gun rounds, and in the second six 120mm mortar round and 15 82mm mortar rounds. Both strikes were delivered from the Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka area, the report said.

The attempts to use the coordination mechanism in order to quickly establish a ceasefire yielded no results, the DPR Office at the JCCC said.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
