Donetsk, May 27 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired mortars at the western outskirts of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
The fire was opened at the Shakhta Trudovskaya area in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district at 13:30 from positions in the Kiev-controlled Maryinka settlement, the report said. Five 82mm mortar rounds were fired; the enemy also used a grenade launcher.
No casualties or damage were immediately reported. Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC have ignored the DPR’s request to make a truce by employing the coordination mechanism.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
