Donetsk, Apr 20 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have violated the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic six times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire six times expending 61 rounds of ammunition (the amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics),” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the Shakhta Gagarina settlement area on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Volovo Centre, the Spartak and Yakovlevka villages and the Alexandrovka settlement on the Donetsk axis. The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and large calibre machine guns, the JCCC said.

On Monday, Ukrainian forces’ fire at Gorlovka damaged a house and utility sheds and de-energised eight transformer substations.

In the previous reporting period, Kiev army units opened fire at the DPR seven times.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
