Donetsk, Dec 3 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have opened heavy mortar fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory on the Mariupol axis twice over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire twice expending 22 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled Vodyanoye settlement at the Leninskoye village area in southern DPR for about an hour starting from 1:45; the enemy used 120mm mortars, the JCCC said.
No ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded in the previous reporting period.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
