Donetsk, Dec 26 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 189 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Monday.
“Despite the effective “silence regime”, Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 189 times over the past 24 hours,” Basurin said.
Ukrainian forces fired 34 82mm and 120mm mines and 87 grenade launcher rounds. They also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms.
According to the DPR Command, the enemy targeted Shirokaya Balka village outside Gorlovka, the outskirts of Dokuchayevsk and Yasinovataya, Vasilyevka village in Yasinovatskiy district and Kominternovo and Leninskoye villages in DPR south.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces shelled Debaltsevo outskirts overnight.
On 21 December, the members of the Contact Group in Minsk agreed an indefinite ceasefire in Donbass effective from midnight, Kiev time (1:00 a.m., DPR time), overnight to 24 December. *jk
