Donetsk, Apr 26 - DAN. Ukrainian army units shelled the northern outskirts of Gorlovka on Thursday morning; two houses have burnt down and another four have been destroyed, said head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov.
“In the morning, the settlement of Zaitsevo north of Gorlovka came under massive fire,” Yakubov said. “Two houses burnt down and another four were destroyed by direct hits.”
All the houses are located in Mira Street in immediate proximity to the contact line. As it is under constant small arms fire, DPR Emergencies Ministry firefighters were unable to approach to the burning houses on time, Yakubov said.
Zaitsevo was shelled with mortars, tank guns, anti-aircraft guns, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and grenade launchers, according to the JCCC.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces fired nearly 1,5000 rounds of ammunition at DPR territory in 38 “Easter ceasefire” violations overnight.*jk
