Donetsk, Jul 29 — DAN. Ukrainian forces purposefully targeted the correctional facility in Elenovka where captured militants were held, the DPR Head Denis Pushilin said.
“It is evident that the shelling was purposeful, they wanted to liquidate members of the Azov battalion who started to testify,” he said speaking at the First TV Channel.
According to latest reports, 53 POWs were killed, 75 wounded as a result of the strike.
A total of 193 captives were at the facility at the time of bombing.
“They are receiving medical aid, distributed to hospitals depending on the gravity of wounds,” Pushilin said. *ot
