Donetsk, Nov 23 – DAN. Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed and seven injured in an attempt to break through DPR defense lines on the south axis, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin told journalists at Donetsk News Agency on Monday citing intelligence reports.
"In vicinity of Vodyanoye in the 'grey zone' the enemy forces up to 20 personnel attempted to penetrate the southern border backed with mortar fire, which resulted in casualties among Ukrainian armed forces. In the skirmish five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, seven wounded."
Three DPR militiamen sustained injuries.
On November 20th DPR repelled Ukrainian armed forces attack in Leninskoye area in southern Novoazovskiy district. Retaliatory fire made the enemy to pull back to their positions, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and six wounded.
