Donetsk, Feb 2 - DAN. Kiev army units on Tuesday fired heavy mortars at the outskirts of the Sosnovskoye village in the Novoazovskiy district in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled Chermalyk village at 14:45, Moscow time. Three 120mm mortar rounds were fired at Sosnovskoye. No damage or casualties were immediately reported.

Minsk is hosting Donbass peace talks on Tuesday. The subgroup on security and economic issues have begun talks via video conference. The groups on political and humanitarian issues held sessions earlier in the day.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
