Donetsk, Sep 8 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory three times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire three times,” the report said.

The enemy used small arms and grenade launchers on the Donetsk axis and small arms on the Mariupol axis. The Shakhta Tdudovskaya settlement and the Spartak village in Donetsk suburbs and the Sakhanka village in southern DPR came under Ukrainian forces fire.

The JCCC said that Ukrainian army units carried out engineer works at their positions next to the Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka security zone on Monday in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures in Donbass. On top of that, two foxhole charges were detonated during engineer works in the Kiev-controlled Novosyolovka Vtoraya village area at 8:20.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works, use of unmanned aerial vehicles etc., and envisions punishment for violators.*jk
