Donetsk, Oct 1 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire twice over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire twice expending two rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
Fire was delivered at the Shakhta 6/7 and Dolomitnoye neighbourhoods in Gorlovka. The enemy used RPG and SPG anti-tank grenade launchers, the JCCC said.
On top of that, Ukrainian forces carried out two explosions in the areas of the Novotroitskoye crossing point south of Donetsk and Kiev-controlled Zaitsevo (Severnoye) settlement outside Gorlovka in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire three times.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights. The armistice on the contact line was nearly fully observed in the first weeks but in the recent time the number of violations by Ukrainian forces has begun to grow again.*jk
